Background
Mileshko Creative is a creative agency in Atlanta, Georgia, offering a wide range of photography, video, graphic design, and animation services. Elevating brands such as Chick-fil-A and Wellstar Health System, the company handles strategy and consultation to create impactful communications for its clients. “When companies come to us, we ask them ‘what do you need?’ We believe that taking care of everything is the best way to serve our clients,” says Zach Yokum, Creative Director at Mileshko Creative.
Scaling up or down based on customer needs is essential for Mileshko Creative. From handling 20-person shooting crews to minimal budget-friendly tasks, the agency delivers simplicity and effectiveness in every project. “We operate by the German saying ‘weniger, aber besser,’ which translates to ‘less, but better’—in the end, our clients save time and money and we get more work.”
Challenge: aggressive deadlines
Mileshko Creative’s biggest challenge is meeting clients’ tight deadlines. For example, the agency often needs to deliver a four-minute video within 48 hours or a 30-second sizzle reel the day after a public event. “Sometimes, we need to edit 10 to 20 photos within 30 minutes to post on social media or share with the media. Our job requires production team members to share and access materials quickly, so editors can work on projects and deliver on time,” Yokum says.
However, due to file size restrictions and complex interfaces, workflow became cumbersome using other storage and file transfer solutions. Additionally, not all clients could access shared links due to email account permissions. Shipping physical hard drives also became costly and unsafe. All this ultimately slowed down the production process and made it tough for the team to deliver projects on time.

“Thanks to the speed, convenience, and simplicity of Dropbox, our project count grew by 230% in eight years, an annual average of 16%, and we’ve reduced our video and photo editing time by 75%.”

Solution: improving collaboration
With Dropbox, Mileshko Creative found exactly what it needed to speed up collaboration, deliver projects on time, and scale the business. “It became a game changer,” Yokum says. “We tried different solutions, but they were overly complicated. Now, with Dropbox, we can send files instantly and allow our remote editors to dive into projects quickly and efficiently.” And unlike other file-sharing tools, the team now keeps all files in one place and shares links at any time without re-uploading materials. This ensures that content is always accessible.
Dropbox also helps the agency organize its work and improve efficiency. When Mileshko Creative gets a project, the team creates a dedicated Dropbox folder with a unique identifier for easy access. Within this folder, the agency sets up organized subfolders for various file types—such as audio, video, and final exports—following a structure. The selective sync feature allows the team to sync only necessary files, store completed files in the cloud, and download new files as needed.
“Finding something is quick and easy, whether on the desktop or in Dropbox. If folder structure isn’t enough, Dropbox Dash helps us find, secure, organize, and share files, making it simple to pull what we need from anywhere in our system,” Yokum says.
The editing team has designated folders within the project for different stages, including “work-in-progress” versions and final exports, all of which remain within the Dropbox structure for easy tracking. When it’s time to share with the client, the team typically provides access only to the export files. If the client requests source files, the team can easily accommodate by sharing access to the entire project folder. This allows Mileshko Creative to protect their creative process by controlling how much of the behind-the-scenes work is shared, while clients receive polished, finalized assets without being overwhelmed by raw files, drafts, or unnecessary project materials.

Results: more projects and revenue
Using Dropbox, Mileshko Creative has the storage and sharing capabilities it needs to work with various file types regardless of size. This is especially critical with video, as production can stop if files can’t be previewed within the storage system. “We never have to worry about whether a file is too big or not supported, which isn’t always guaranteed with other cloud-based storage solutions,” Yokum says.
Mileshko Creative also has significantly cheaper storage costs when compared to similar solutions. Mileshko Creative’s Dropbox account costs 88% less annually compared to other companies that charge up to $25,000 a year. These savings free up resources for other areas—like equipment upgrades and additional client services—all while maintaining a seamless and efficient workflow. “Clients are thrilled to receive their projects in days, not weeks,” Yokum says. “When we can deliver photos the same day or even the next day, they’re always super impressed.”
The speed, convenience, and simplicity of Dropbox allow Mileshko Creative to offer a wide variety of services and scale its business. “We love Dropbox because it aligns with our ethos of keeping things simple and effective. With Dropbox, less is more; more business, more revenue, and more happy clients,” Yokum concludes.

“Anytime we can simplify the process, that is a huge win for us. Clients are thrilled to be able to get their projects within days, not weeks.”
